By recounting the history of Belgian dance music, THE SOUND OF BELGIUM aims to give an alternate, parallel view of Belgian and European history of the last 100 years. Through its popular music and the people that danced to it, we go in search of the spirit of a nation. We explore its influence on the global electronic music scene of today, but also in its present role as geographical and political heart of Europe.
